U-35 Watch Officer Wilhelm Zahn


Wilhelm Zahn was born on 29 July 1910 in Ebensfelde, Staffelstein.
He joined the Reichsmarine in 1930 (Crew 1930).

He was First Watch Officer of U 33 from July 1936 to September 1937, then First Watch Officer of U-35 from September 1937 until October 1938.

He commanded U-56 from 26 November 1938 until 21 January 1940, and U-69 from 28 August 1941 until 31 March 1942.

He was promoted to Korvettenkapitän on 01 April 1943.
