U-35 crew member Erich Herrmann

Erich Herrmann was born on July 4th 1914 in Kotzenau, and joined the Kriegsmarine on July 1st 1936. He served on U 35 from May 9th 1938 until April 4th 1939.

From August 16th 1940 until September 30th 1942, he served on board U 124.  He was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class on November 15th 1940, and the Iron Cross 1st Class on October 3rd 1941.

Erich Herrmann served on board U 289 from July 11th 1943 until it was sunk on May 30th 1944.
