U-35 crew member Paul Fichte

Paul Fichte was born on 10 December 1916 in Ohlau, Schlesien.
Paul Fichte as a young enlisted sailor. He joined the Kriegsmarine on 01 July 1936, and became a crewmember of U-35 on 06 May 1938. [48]

Upon repatriation, Paul Fichte found a job in Braunschweig in a sheet metal factory, and in 1948 married his wife Maria. In 1960, together with their daughter Edeltraud and son Harald, they moved to Düsseldorf, where a factory was searching for a sheet metal specialist. They found a new home in Hilden, which is near Düsseldorf. He later found a better job in Hilden, where he worked until his retirement in 1982. During his retirement he devoted his life to his family. [48]

Paul Fichte passed away on 25 February 2000, at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife Maria, son Harald, daughter Edeltraud, and son-in-law Jürgen Bongard.
