U-35 Chief Engineer Kurt Schmidt

Kurt Schmidt was born on 18 June 1908.

U-35 at commissioning on 03 November 1936. Kurt Schmidt is the center; of the men with daggers, he is fifth from right. [78] Karlgeorg Schuster, Hans Fechter, Erwin de Terra, Klaus Ewerth, Otto Kretschmer, Anton Thimm, Walter Arnaschus and Willi Ensuleit are also recognizable.

Kurt Schmidt was replaced by Chief Engineer Friedrich-Hermann Vollmer in 1938.

Kurt Schmidt passed away in 1997 and is survived by Hans-Joachim Schmidt, Irene Jahn, Werner Schmidt, Albrecht Schmidt.
